Yasmin has recently worked with Choreographers like Sasa Queliz for the production "the game is not over", Juliette Rahon for the productions "MAGICAE" and "La dernière Sarabande", Carly Lave for the Virtual Reality Dance Film "Paar", Maxim Didenko & Vladimir Varnava for the production "Schlachthof 5" at HELLERAU in Dresden, Yu Otagawa for the opera production "Mitridate" at Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin, Laura Scozzi for the production "Il Viaggio à Reims" at Semperoper Dresden, Yael Bartana/Hagar Orphir for the film "Redemption Now" for the Jewish Museum Berlin and "Wannsee".
While living in New York Yasmin worked with artists and companies such as J CHEN Project, Yoshito Sakuraba, InTW dance, Meghann Padgett, Aaron Samuel Davis, Jasmine Domfort, VALETTO dance, as well as with her own company Y+Y Dance.

"Paar" by Carly Lave
Paar is a VR dance film split between a physical world and virtual world. Filmed in the Tieranatomisches Theater (TAT) at Berlin Charité, and set to an ambient sonic landscape by the artist Arushi Jain, Paar uses 360 video together with motion capture technology, audience members are taken through a seven minute immersive experience where they get to stand, bear witness and interact with the dancers’ journey.
The choreography and direction is devised by dance artist Carly Lave with support by Dr. Christian Stein, cofounder of gamelab.berlin, and Ghunghru Sounds founder Arushi Jain. The music video will be viewable in VR and set to premiere Summer 2022.
In the creation of the projection, we integrated multiple technological components to drive the composition of the video across physical and virtual spaces.

"Magicae, The Tribulations of a Sorcerer’s Apprentice",
A show by Juliette Rahon and the Alma Mahler Kammerorchester.
On stage, a chamber orchestra playing by heart, a conductor and a dancer performed a show of a new kind at the crossroads of music, dance and theater, telling the story of a Sorceress (the dancer), her apprentice (the conductor) and the world they are trying to control (the musicians). Together, and through the music of Dukas, Stravinsky and Debussy, they explored experience, resilience and a new form of harmony.

"La dernière Sarabande - ou l'obsolescence programmée",
A show by Juliette Rahon&Co
This multidisciplinary piece is a unique project on the occasion of Johann-Sebastian Bach´s 270th anniversary of his death. Juliette wanted to create a trilogy performance around Bach’s work connected to the global warming challenge in order to highlight Leipzig, city of Bach, and at the same time a city of nature. The group researched a way to create new variations of Bach’s full sixth Cello Suite, by combining several instruments together, as well as adding some cantatas from the composer. At the same time Juliette Rahon & Co analyzes, researches and questions the matter of the global warming, a collective global challenge.

"Malka Germania" by Yael Bartana

Malka Germania, commissioned by the Jewish Museum Berlin, investigates the longing for collective redemption as a response to an age of anxiety. Malka Germania is Hebrew for “Queen Germania.” The name makes reference to an unusual female designation for the Messiah: “Malka Meshichah,” or the “Annointed Queen.” The Messiah has come to Berlin and thus to the historic epicenter of Jewish, Israeli, and German collective memory. Instead of experiencing immediate redemption, the city is haunted by its residents’ collective subconscious: their dreams, fears, and memories. The work investigates the longing for collective redemption as a response to an age of anxiety. The piece portrays subconscious elements, gray areas, and ambiguities of contemporary German-Jewish experience through the artistic medium. At the same time, it attempts to disrupt a fixed iconography and to deconstruct identities - the past and future implode into an alternative present.

"Schlachthof 5" by Maxim Didenko
Kurt Vonnegut tells about the horror of war and at the same time makes remembrance itself a subject. His novel “Schlachthof 5” is a collage, satire, biography, science fiction and everything at the same time: the novel narrative wanders through different time levels in a fragmentary, excerpt-like manner, allowing personal experience and lessons learned to merge with fiction. Against this background, the Russian theatre director Maxim Didenko is designing a new stage version of “Schlachthof 5”, which will premiere in September 2020 in HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts Dresden. Didenko, who has received many awards and is internationally known for his visually powerful choreographic-theatrical stage language, is looking for new possibilities for a contemporary view of Vonnegut’s text, the local commemorative culture and the “Dresden myth” with his production.
